Myth # 1 All the Good Guys Are Taken

When a single man says all the good guys are taken, he’s given his power away. Men who don’t want to take responsibility for their own dating life, preferring to live as the eternal, whiny victim—or, shall we say, the tragic queen—will never find happiness. And what does it say about a gay man’s self-esteem when he knows he’s available but still believes this myth. Does he think h e’s not a “good guy”? Why would a gay single de-value himself so much? I believe it’s because many gay men don’t acknowledge or appreciate their own qualities. They think everyone out there is better than they are, and that’s not true, either.
