Dating and Relationship Tip: Expanding Your Social Network At times, the dating scene seems incredibly overwhelming. Where do I start? Where do I meet singles? I tell many men to just start the ball rolling by extending their social network and creating a “ripple effect.” The ripple effect is an unattended effect: the more action we take, the greater the ripple effect. As I get to know people and develop friendships, I’m going to be invited to parties and get-togethers. At these parties there’s an excellent chance I’ll meet other singles whom I can invite to my annual Christmas brunch. Then, I’ll be invited to another person’s Valentine’s party. With the ripple effect, the possibilities are endless. Sometimes the tiniest action can produce astounding results, so think small at first. What is the one action you can take that jump-starts your social and love life? Remember there are folks out there dying to meet you. Get going!
